Part 5 of 5-part series, prepared by Peter L. Johnston, Esq., Philadelphia DUI Lawyer
If you are ever placed on suspension because of driving under the influence (DUI), it is essential that you complete the Acknowledgment of Suspension form (Form DL-16C) and send it to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (DOT) in order to ensure that you receive credit for your suspension time. Otherwise, you will not be credited with having served your suspension and could be charged with driving on the “driving under the influence revoked list” and face the aforementioned serious consequences – or at least have to serve an additional lengthy suspension – even if that incident comes after the date your suspension should have ended.
Should you be arrested or charged with driving while on the revoked list, it is critical that you retain counsel to handle the violation to determine what your options are and how you may be able to avoid the harsh 90-day sentence.
