Peter Johnston Elected Philadelphia Democratic City Committee for the 21st Ward

Peter L. Johnston, Esq. was elected recently to serve a four-year term on the Philadelphia Democratic City Committee for the 21st Ward, which encompasses the Roxborough and Manayunk sections where he lives. As a Committee member, Johnston votes for leaders of the ward and acts as a Democratic representative to community residents. In this role, he addresses the residents’ issues and concerns arising from city services and elections. This is Johnston’s second stint as a Committee member for the 21st ward. He was appointed to this position in 2008 following the resignation of his predecessor.

(Philadelphia, PA – June 28, 2010) Peter L. Johnston, Esq., a personal injury and criminal defense attorney, was elected recently to serve a four-year term on the Philadelphia Democratic City Committee for the 21st Ward, which encompasses the Roxborough and Manayunk sections where he lives. As a Committee member, Johnston votes for leaders of the ward and acts as a Democratic representative to community residents. In this role, he addresses the residents’ issues and concerns arising from city services and elections. This is Johnston’s second stint as a Committee member for the 21st ward. He was appointed to this position in 2008 following the resignation of his predecessor.

Although he is proud to have been raised in New Jersey, Johnston has happily adopted Philadelphia as his home and has resided in the Roxborough section since 1999. His law practice also offers two convenient locations in Center City, Philadelphia and Woodbury, New Jersey.

Johnston’s goals as a Committee member include: helping to improve the responsiveness of city services for his constituents and to ensure that his constituents are familiar with and supportive of party candidates and positions. In previous years, Johnston has helped to boost turnout in his division, particularly during the 2008 Presidential election.
