CLIENT SUCCESS STORY: Johnston helps Liberian man become a US Citizen

Peter L. Johnston, Esquire successfully represents a Liberian immigrant in his quest to become a United States Citizen. Originally admitted as a refugee, the man subsequently became a United States lawful permanent resident. However, while he was a lawful permanent resident, he was arrested for alleged public benefits fraud. That charge was ultimately resolved in his favor but still presented a potential challenges for his citizenship application in terms of possible moral character questions. However, Mr. Johnston was able to assist his client in proving that he was, in fact, a hard-working, law-abiding person of good character worthy of citizenship and the man’s citizenship application was approved. The man subsequently took the solemn oath of citizenship and is now a United States citizen.
