Client Win: PLJ Negotiates Deal for Man Accused of Selling Drugs

Philadelphia Criminal Attorney Peter Johnston negotiated a favorable guilty plea agreement on behalf of his Client, an elderly gentleman with a myriad of health issues, who was accused of illegal narcotics sales. Mr. Johnston convinced the prosecuting attorneys to agree to a term of house arrest of less than one year, with drug treatment followed by probation, in exchange for his Client’s guilty plea. 

Because the Philadelphia prison system is already overburdened and underfunded, this outcome is beneficial both to the Commonwealth and Mr. Johnston's Client. The Client, an elderly man with an addiction problem, has health and special age-related safety needs that would have made his incarceration more costly.
